Material Handler I, II, II

Material Handler I

☐ must be able to safely operate a fork truck

☐ must be able to safely use banding equipment, shrink wrap machine, pallet jack and other tools needed to safely maneuver products around the facility

☐ must be able to load trailers

☐ must be able to unload goods received

☐ must place received material in the proper location in the plant or warehouse as defined by the supervisor

☐ must maintain general housekeeping skills

☐ must be willing to conduct other tasks as defined by supervision

☐ must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs.

Material Handler II

☐ Cannot have 7 or more points on attendance record

☐ must have a positive attitude everyday as defined by leadership and peers

☐ must have all of the qualifications of a Material Handler I

☐ must be able to work independently on projects, without the direction of others, while producing quality work.

☐ must have extensive knowledge of the workflow of the plant or warehouse

☐ must understand how material should be staged in each department

☐ must keep all staging areas and racking in an orderly manner

☐ This individual will also be responsible for the training of entry level Material Handler employees (Material Handler I) as needed.

Material Handler III

☐ must have all the qualifications of a Material Handler II

☐ must be able to produce at a level that is higher than that of a Material Handler II

☐ must also be able to direct product and materials through all departments for maximum efficiency

☐ must have a full understanding of the manufacturing process at Talos in regard to the following:

• How products travel through the plant
• Why they travel in the order that they do
• How the Material Handler position affects the process throughout the plant

☐ Material Handler III must also be able to demonstrate the following leadership skills:

• Must be able and willing to mentor class I and class II Material Handler employees
• Must be able and willing to set the work pace

☐ A Material Handler III must also be able to demonstrate skills in other departments and be willing to work in those areas without being told to do so
