About the role….
The Engineer for this group is responsible for leading projects to deliver expected results.
In this role, you will…
- Have a background in estimating fabrication and use tools to quote customer designed products from their drawings.
- Follow/Refine processes to execute customer drawing regurgitation of already preset designs.
- Create and maintain CAD files in Talos format based on customer supplied drawings.
- Work with production to make drawing corrections and drawing refinements.
- Work with Sales Manager to extract the required info to achieve customer’s needs.
- Maintain continuous, open, consistent professional communication with customers, peers, and management.
- The Engineer is to manage and maintain the project from the receipt of P.O. all the way through project close/customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate timely responses to all customer & internal requests.
- Maintain accurate up to date documentation throughout the project. Quotes, PO’s, Change Orders, BOM’s, Approvals, Meeting Minutes, Action items, etc.
- Facilitate BOM & Drawing approvals with customer.
- Facilitate all required Internal meetings and follow up to ensure team deliverables are met. (Including but not limited to the items below)
- Project Kickoff with Manufacturing, Procurement, Scheduling, Shipping, etc.
- Project Kickoff with Customer.
- Regular meetings with customers, and the internal teams listed above.
- Supply meeting agendas with invites & follow up with meeting minutes/action items after the meetings are ended.
- Ensure order entry is accurate and all delivery dates are clearly communicated to the customer.
- Facilitate all change orders throughout project.
- Oversee overall project costs and quoted margin.
- Ensure that all project billing milestones & invoicing requirements are clearly communicated to the Financing Team.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Talos Manufacturing Capabilities.
- May lead teams of other Engineers.
- Help develop & maintain department/company standards.
We are excited about you because…
- Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area is preferred.
- Are proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical.
- Are proficient with Autodesk Inventor.
- Are proficient in MS Office environment including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
- Have proper phone etiquette.
- Can speak and write clearly and accurately.
- Have knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Possess multi-tasking capabilities.
- Can meet deadlines, even if it requires extra hours.
